The service desk can remotely access laptops and tablets that have been pre-stored in cora.
When a new employee joins the company, the required laptop is traditionally set up in advance by IT and then handed over in person. This manual process works, but it quickly becomes a race against time, especially for new employees joining at short notice or in decentralized companies with multiple locations.
In addition, there are regular software updates that are rolled out by IT. Older devices are often left behind and are often no longer up to date.
The classic device provisioning process becomes much more efficient with cora. IT retains control - and end users benefit from a flexible, location-independent solution.
1) Pre-stored devices
Laptops and tablets are already pre-configured and stored in cora. Each of the 24 compartments has a power and LAN connection - either directly or via a docking station. This means that the devices are always ready for use and network-compatible.
2) Remote personalization via service desk
IT support can access the devices via Wake-on-LAN for new entries, replacement devices or new installations. The end devices are prepared remotely without the need for physical handovers or relocation.
3) Flexible collection by the user
As soon as the device is personalized, the employee is informed. Collection is flexible and takes place at the cora station. The handover is secure, documented and traceable at all times - thanks to user authentication.
4) Remote repair in the event of defects
In the event of a fault, the service desk can ask the user to insert the device into cora and connect it. IT can analyze, repair or reset the device remotely via the network connection - without an on-site appointment.
Using cora for remote staging of devices brings clear benefits for IT support, for end users and ultimately for the entire company. Fewer interruptions, clear processes and more time for the actual core tasks at all levels.
