Endress+Hauser is an international supplier of measuring instruments, services and solutions for industrial process technology and automation. The group is considered the global market leader in measurement technology and employs almost 17,000 people.
 
 The product centre, Endress+Hauser Flow, relies on the smart IT machine cora for its IT automation. The company is very progressive and strives for future-oriented solutions and efficient processes in all areas. The cora concept therefore fits in perfectly with the company's digital orientation. Initial situation

The IT department at Endress+Hauser Flow had already established a high level of digitalization within the company. Nevertheless, the IT organization was facing several challenges:

  • Manual hardware distribution to employees - a laborious and time-consuming process.
  • Use of resources - less and less time for administrative IT tasks.
  • Increasing demand for fast availability of IT peripherals for employees.

Finally, the IT team became aware of the smart IT machine from cora - and was immediately convinced of the clear benefits. The advantages that cora could offer for ongoing operations were immediately understood. As a result, the IT team advocated the use of cora and presented the IT machine internally.

 

Implementation

After a thorough business case analysis, the decision was made to install the first cora IT machine at the head office in Reinach BL.

  • Around 100 withdrawals are recordedeach month - clear proof of employee acceptance.

  • This has significantly reduced the workload of the IT operations team, which can now concentrate more on more complex and strategic tasks.
