cora creates freedom at LVM Insurance

Two smart cora IT machines at the LVM headquarters ensure efficient device pickup and return.

LVM Versicherung is one of the largest insurers in Germany. The Group has over 11,000 employees and representatives nationwide. The head office is the LVM Campus in Münster with around 4,000 employees.

Initial situation

LVM had already been considering the possible introduction of IT machines for some time. However, it was only after getting to know cora that this introduction was seriously considered.
From the very first contact, both the cora product and the numerous features and functions implemented in the cora Cloud, which were not available in this form in many of the competitor's products, were convincing.

The basic requirements for implementation included the possibility of personalized device issuing, the continued use of the company's own systems and the integration of badge cards for all employees. cora met all of these requirements and was selected for use at LVM. The go-live took place in spring 2024.

Implementation

The introduction of cora was pleasantly uncomplicated and worked as expected right from the start. LVM received valuable support from both the responsible Customer Success Managers and the technical support team during the implementation of cora and the selected use cases.

Today, cora is used in various application areas: IT peripherals and cables can be picked up from cora via self-service. There is also the option of borrowing various devices, which are charged and configured in cora and are available on demand. Of course, cora also offers the option of returning these devices outside the opening hours of the LVM Service Point, which represents a significant gain in flexibility for LVM employees.

Successes

The implementation of cora has led to a significant reduction in interruptions to the IT team's day-to-day business. The time-consuming manual processing of each individual hardware issue and return is now a thing of the past thanks to cora. These processes are now mainly handled as part of the self-service principle. This leaves significantly more capacity for the implementation of more complex tasks. The IT team replenishes the cora machines with new products approximately every two weeks, which has significantly minimized operating costs.

The positive feedback from the workforce is particularly noteworthy. There was a great deal of curiosity and interest in cora right from the start. The simple self-service process and the user experience with cora are very popular. In addition, the round-the-clock availability of IT equipment through cora is considered particularly valuable.

Outlook

Due to its great success, LVM is planning to expand the new service offering. In future, laptops that have not been set up will be stored so that they can be loaded with the user-specific installation directly in cora if required.

There are also plans to integrate cora seamlessly into the ITSM platform used by LVM. These enhancements will take place in a step-by-step process and will always be carried out in close coordination with the cora Customer Success Manager.
